An 18 year Old Dethroned the Malaysian Hero


This is a very good news for the Singapore Badminton Fans for Singapore’s Yeo Jia Min tops the World Junior Ranking. The 18 year-old star dethroned the Malaysian hero Goh Kin Wei in the latest badminton rankings to be the new world junior number 1.

The Singapore’s local hero and badminton sensation Yeo Jia Min has been put to the Mount Rushmore as she was been named the new women’s youth number one in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings that were releases on Thursday (June 8).

Yoe has been impressive all year round she’s been racking up amazing and exciting victories on the competitive circuit also her professional title wins include last July’s Yonex Sunrise Vietnam Gran Prix, as well as the Yonex Dutch Junior International crown in March last year.


This is the very first time that a Singaporean badminton player in either junior or senior categories made it to the top of the BWF’s rankings.

On 2015 one of the most exciting game of Yeo was winning the Badminton Asia Under-17 Junior Championship. 

So far Yeo has been consistent in her plays and all her fans are exciting on what and where will her talent, dream, and skillset will take her because with her attitude, passion and dedication sky is really the limit for her.

Yeo will be seen next for the senior Crown Group Australian Open later this month, as well as the Yonex Open Taiwan from June 27 to July 2nd. Yeo is also set to participate in the Asia Junior Championships in the later part of July.

She also confirm her participation for the SE Games in Malaysia on August.
